Просмотров 174 тыс.16 лет назад
A spoof of The Singing, Ringing Tree by The Fast Show. Series 3, Programme 8, from 1997. "Ton Swingingen Ringingen Bingingen Plingingen Tingingen Plinkingen Plonkingen Boingingen Triee" according to their Chanel 9 slot.
Why is it that I only find out how genius this vignette is 30 years later? I went to school in Germany in the 70's and I just fast forwarded this at the time in the 90's. Incredible. Say what you like about the generation that ended in 1965, we had the best of everything.
Saw the original TV series as a child - still receiving counciling in my retirement LOL.
That is terrible. I watch warwick in Tenable.
What kind of language was that
Unbelievable. They really don't make 'em like that any more. Bueno estentay.
And it will only ever resonate with those of a certain age!
The fact they based this off of a German fairytale film is just hilarious!🤣
If someone could link Chanel 9 Arse gala it would be treasure.
You know, for children
I'm not sure what the fuck just happened. but I'm glad it happened
I have the original on DVD. it was a novelty gift from my older brother for my sixtieth birthday . Still, it scared the shit out of me in the sixties/seventies. 👻
UTTERLY BUTTERLY!!!! 2:36
warwick davis being typecast yet again.
My dreams
This must be a stage-show. I will pay ££ and dance in the aisles.
whooore leaveee!
Best Parts: -A REALLY random Warwick Davis cameo -Discovering Gary Numan has fans even amongst bridges -Simon Day looking FABULOUS! 😂😂❤❤
As I recall, in the oiriginal the princes was cursed with ugliness and was turned ... into a brunette!
No child in Scotland since 1964 has ever married a princessen what happened to the golden fish , love to know ,it was a great 3 part tales from Europe , also the girl with the golden hair ,and the tinder box , also never go 8nside a tree 🌳 lol 🙂🙂
The "Crazy Nights and Lazy Days" (first seen on the Jazz Club) also seems to be a reference to awful UK Eurovisionists Coco who had a twatty drummer that utilised a megaphone backing vocal on the chorus
Seems that Geeta had a staring roll in this
Reminds me of my time in Portugal 🇵🇹. So accurate
Scorchio!
Brilliant. I was just talking about the original to my wife, who'd never heard of it. Found out it was East German and the missus is West German. Probably didn't broadcast much of each others stuff back in the fifties and sixties? She should see this though!

Utterly butterly! The German original is a classic, watch for flying green trolls when in forests!!
and this pretty much sums it up
"Tu stupido slappa!"
The original: ruclips.net/video/WhVFcy4ZMIg/видео.html
This video is the pinnacle of human achievement.
This was at a time when UK satellite dishes could pick up all these totally incomprehensible Latin and European channels as well as Sky. A total mickey take of the sort of programmes they used to show.
About as convincing as the actual bible story!
Brilliant sketch. The Avengers Infinity War of Chanel 9.
Oooh utterly butterly!
Miki Disco/God bears an uncanny resemblance to 1970s Giorgio Moroder...
Ooooo utterly butterly
Simon as the witch amazing....
Never knew Warwick Davis was in a Fast Show sketch. Immortality beckons!
I don't know whether to cry or laugh at what I just saw... In doubt we pretend we haven't seen anything
The Gary Numan bit on the bridge is perfection
It’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen
If you don't get the references, you won't get the jokes! It's not 'bad-comedy', it's just beyond your understanding!! 🤣 Me? I thought it was funny as f**k!! 🤣
That was just a tiny bit weirder than the original!! 🤣🤣🤣
This is just brilliant, in so many ways.
What the fuck did I just watched? lol
Utterly Butterly 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I looked at the original and I never knew it was in colour :) mind you we had a b/w tv back in the seventies.
